Jacques Moret, M.D.
   
Prof. Moret is a leading global authority on neurointerventional techniques. He currently serves as Professor at the faculty of medicine Bichat-Beaujon at the University of ParisVII in Paris, France, and Chairman of the Department of Interventional Neuroradiology at the Rothschild Foundation Hospital in Paris. Prior to that, and from January 1989 to August 1994, Dr. Moret was Professor of Radiology at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas.


In 1981, Prof. Moret received the “René Djindjian” award of the French Society of Neuroradiology. He was also the recipient of the “Schering” award of the European Society of Neuroradiology in 1991. He is the founding member of the WIN (Working Group in Interventional Neuroradiology), whose goal for the last 25 years is to promote exchanges and knowledge in the field of INR worldwide.

Prof. Moret served as president of the French Society of Neuroradiology (1998-1999). In June 2005, he became Doctor Honoris Causa of the University of Lund in Sweden. He belongs to several editorial and review boards of different international journals in Neuroradiology and is author and or co-author of more than 200 publications in the field of interventional Neuroradiology. He is also author and co-author of five books. His book “Spinal phlebography: lumbar and cervical techniques” is widely considered a key reference manual in the field.
